Zakary Belamy Sale/Exhibition "The World´s Greatest Magicians" will be part of the FISM European Championschips of Magic 2008

The French Photographer Zakary BELAMY is renowned amongst magicians across the globe: from Europe to Japan and most recently in the USA. Since 1999, he’s been devoting his artistic endeavors to the world of magic and magicians worldwide.

Zakary presents an exhibition that became a hit during the World Championships of Magic in Stockholm (FISM2006), in July 2006 - a first since the congress began in 1948. Magicians from all over the world recognized the mastery of his work. For the last year or so, Zakary’s photos have been published in more than 20 magazines of magic and photography in France, the US, England, Belgium and Germany.   A former computer engineer, Zakary’s has long harbored a passion for both photography and magic. Making a choice between his living and passions, Zakary took the road less traveledchoosing to become a magician’s photographer. Discovering how few photographers take an interest in magic as an art form, Zakary decided to capture the artistry of a discipline too often neglected by his peers.  Ever since September 2005, he undertook a monumental personal project, which will span many years, to photograph the world’s greatest magicians from Tokyo to Montreal, Hollywood to Las Vegas, Paris, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Athens and many other European cities. Zakary has invested every part of his being in paying homage to the living legends and highlighting a few up-and-coming faces of the younger generation.
Zakary figures into the small group of eclectic photographers capable of embracing different styles, techniques, and technologies. From SLR to medium-format, black-and-white to color, film to digital, and stage to studio, he mixes humour, sarcasm, glamour, cynicism, irreverence, and classicism.
 As you imagine, the photos presented in this exhibition are only a fraction of the monumental book that will span 10 years of magic photography and published in 2010- a breakthrough in the history of magic and photography. This personal project will be the last step of the adventure with the magicians.  Zakary's pictures have been published in many magic magazines around the world such as: Magic Magazine, Genii Magazine, Magischwelt, La revue de la Prestidigitation, Magie, Pegasus, Channel One, Magicus, L'escamoteur, Magicseen... including a number of covers, books, videos, websites, posters...
